The Genesis Team was proud to partner with a school in Alhambra, CA, that faced a significant challenge: an entirely asphalt playground with no grass or natural play areas. Despite a strong soccer culture among students, there was no dedicated space for the sport. We proposed transforming a portion of the asphalt into a vibrant 60-by-95-foot artificial turf field, a vision the school embraced immediately. Our team removed the existing asphalt, installed a concrete Mo Curb and perimeter header board, added compacted gravel, and secured high-quality turf to create a safe, functional, and visually striking space. The result is a safe, functional, and visually appealing play space that not only enhances the school’s recreational offerings but also provides a dedicated area for soccer and other activities. The transformation has been met with excitement and appreciation from the community.
